They certainly are bliss. These yummy balls of goodness are SO easy to make, and even easier to devour.
♥ 8 large medjool dates
♥ 1 cup of almonds
♥ 2 tbsp cocao powder
♥ 1 tsp vanilla extract
We also added a generous handful of dried cherries and cranberries (optional) to mixture, making them even more moist and chewy.
First, blend the (de-stoned!) dates, before adding the almonds and blending again, then add all the remaining ingredients and blend.
Once blended to the desired consistently, depending on whether you want slightly larger almond and fruit chunks or it to be completely smooth, roll the mixture into small balls with your hands.
Finally, dust them in cinnamon (optional).
VOILA! The perfect on the go snacks and a yummy pick-me-up.
Best chilled and kept in the fridge or they can even be frozen if you want them to last even longer.
